Voimar Konnector Privacy Notice

How VOIMAR (Pty) Ltd handles your personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

Our promise

Voimar Konnector is a Data Transport or Transit Layer. We carry your traffic encrypted, and we do not keep the content of what you browse, send or receive on our servers - no messages, no files, no photos, no call recordings. We can't hand over content we don't have.

We never record calls, and Konnector has no call recording, call monitoring or listen-in feature for anyone - including Voimar.

To keep calls clear, your phone measures each call's quality - numbers only, such as how much sound was lost and the delay - and asks you to rate it. Voimar keeps these numbers with your line and the time of the call, never the audio and never the number you called.

Files and photos you share are never stored with Voimar: if something has to pass through our network to reach someone, it passes through encrypted, only for as long as delivery takes, and is not kept.

Your account, billing and connection records are kept on Voimar's own infrastructure in South Africa, not with foreign cloud providers.

Chat privacy protocol: SecureChat messages, voice notes, photos and documents are end-to-end encrypted on your phone - Voimar can't read them. Voimar is only the transport layer: they pass through Voimar's own server in South Africa in memory, on their way to your contact, and are never stored on a disk or in a database. They're gone from our server the moment your contact's phone receives them; if that phone is offline, anything not received within 24 hours is dropped and your phone sends it again. Your chat history stays on your phone only, and every message disappears from both phones within 72 hours at most (a chat can choose 24, 48 or 72 hours) - for anything you need to keep, use another app. We never sell or use your messages.

What we collect

Account details you give us: name, surname, email, verified mobile number, date of birth, city and province, and company name if you add one.

Service records: your devices, their connection logins and Voimar network addresses, when they connect, and how much traffic passes through our network (totals, not content).

Call records (who called whom, when, for how long and the cost - never the call's content). "Clear history" removes calls from your own view; Voimar keeps the records for billing, cost accounting and service analytics, as South African law requires.

Payment records: what you bought, tax invoices, and a Paystack token plus the last 4 digits of any card you save. Paystack holds your card details, not Voimar.

Why we use it

To create and secure your account, connect your devices, apply your access pass, bill you and issue tax invoices, keep the network safe, support you, and meet our legal obligations. We don't sell your personal information and we don't use your content for advertising.

Who we share it with

Only with service providers who help us run Voimar Konnector (for example Paystack for payments), under contract, and with authorities where South African law requires it.

How long we keep it

Account and service records for as long as you have an account and afterwards for as long as the law requires (tax invoices are kept for the period SARS requires). Traffic totals are kept for billing, network planning and security.

Children

Konnector is for people 18 and over, or 13 to 17 with a parent or guardian who sponsors them through Voimar Family (under 13 only where Voimar has specifically approved it, with a sponsoring parent or guardian). We process a child's personal information only with the consent of that competent person, or as the law otherwise allows, and only for providing the service.

A parent or guardian can ask to see, correct or delete their child's information at privacy@voimar.co.za. Child-safety concerns go to legal@voimar.co.za immediately.

Legal requests

We respond to valid legal process under South African law (including RICA and the Cybercrimes Act). We can only provide the records we hold - account, billing and connection records - never content, because we don't keep it. Legal requests: legal@voimar.co.za.

Your rights (POPIA)

You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, object to its use, or withdraw consent, subject to what the law requires us to keep. Send requests to privacy@voimar.co.za. Our Information Officer is Zuko Leonard Rabotapi, infoofficer@voimar.co.za. Formal legal notices go to legal@voimar.co.za. You may also complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa).

Your personal information stays on Voimar's own infrastructure in South Africa. We don't transfer it abroad except where you ask us to (for example, a payment with an international card) or the law allows it.

Security

Connections between your device and Voimar are encrypted (WireGuard or IPsec). Access to our systems is restricted and logged.
